Our Projects

What is MADE Cymru?

MADE Cymru is a suite of EU-funded projects delivered by University of Wales Trinity Saint David (UWTSD). Our university-accredited courses and expert-led business support scheme can help individuals and organisations to adapt to the challenges of Industry 4.0.

By enabling Welsh manufacturers to take advantage of the latest advanced technologies, our three core projects are helping to bring about disruptive change to Wales’ production industry while encouraging collaboration and growth for businesses in Wales.

Our facilities

Based in our Centre for Advanced Batch Manufacture (CBM) in Swansea, the Advanced Design Engineering team trains manufacturing professionals to take advantage of production technologies such as 3D printing, injection moulding and vacuum casting. Our production and research facilities are suitable for a variety of sectors, from aerospace and automotive to medical and dental.

The courses we offer to individuals are predominantly taught online via our virtual learning environment, with students encouraged to apply the knowledge and skills they develop in their current roles. Our programmes are designed to fit around the typical working hours of employers to avoid distracting from day-to-day production.

Industry 4.0
