Free ‘Business Future-proofing Toolkit’ for businesses

The MADE Cymru team wanted to share a new online tool created by the Welsh Government Innovation team. The Business Future-proofing Toolkit aims to help businesses contribute to the Well-Being of Future Generations Act by embedding sustainable development, equality & diversity principles and support of the Welsh language into their future aspirations. In short, contribute to making Wales a better place to live and work at the same as enhancing the sustainability and prosperity of a business.

The Well-Being of Future Generations Act recognises the need to work together to face the challenges of climate change, poverty, health inequalities and jobs & growth. To give current and future generations a good quality of life, businesses are encouraged to think about the long-term impact of their decisions.

Using the toolkit, companies will assess their current position and with the help of links to useful resources and case studies, identify opportunities to develop their business and make it more resilient to changes in the future. When a company completes this, they will be able to download a free report and automatically be referred to Resource Efficiency and HR Advisors within Business Wales who will support them to make any improvements or changes identified.

To access the toolkit users will need to create a Sign on Cymru (SOC) account which provides access to all Business Wales activities that have previously required passwords.

We’d be grateful if you could input our referral code 81552 at the GDPR log in page. The system can be used without this reference however it is helpful for the team there to see the referral has arrived via MADE Cymru.
