MADE Cymru is recruiting – looking for Lecturers and Senior Lecturers in Innovation Management and Advanced Manufacturing

MADE Cymru is a suite of EU-funded projects delivered by University of Wales Trinity Saint David (UWTSD). This offers businesses (predominantly manufacturers) in Wales university-accredited courses and an expert-led business support scheme all aimed to help individuals and organisations to adapt to the challenges of Innovation and Advanced Manufacturing Industry 4.0.

This impressive project enables Welsh manufacturers to take advantage of the latest advanced technologies and helps to bring about disruptive change to Wales’ production industry while encouraging collaboration and growth for businesses in Wales.

Since project launch, we’ve doubled our student numbers and are in the position where we are looking for new Senior Lecturers and Lecturers to teach on the Upskilling for Industry 4.0 and/or Innovation Management courses. All taught online.

You’ll be joining a friendly and passionate team of industry experts and academics – although we are physically located in a waterside SA1 campus in Swansea, you really can work from anywhere in Wales. In addition to teaching, you will also have the opportunity to contribute to the project as a whole – you’ll very much be a key member of the team.

And we’re flexible about whether you would prefer full-time, part-time or fractional. If you have experience and expertise in Automation, Robotics or associated Industry 4.0 technologies, Continuous Improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma and Lean Thinking or have skills and expertise in Innovation Management then please get in touch.

You will need to have a post-graduate qualification in a relevant area and a professional qualification would be desirable. You will also need to have demonstrable experience of Industry 4.0 and/or Innovation Management as well as in teaching, delivery and assessment in a in relevant subject area, although we welcome applications from those with the industrial experience and we can discuss the opportunities to develop your teaching qualifications at UWTSD.

Experience of undertaking skills gaps or similar analysis in a business setting and advising on appropriate solutions is also required.
